Fears

Today we are talking about common fears and doubts.

The fact is we all have fears. It’s a necessary emotion without which we
would not be truly alive. Think about it – and you’ll realize that there have
probably been times when fear has steered you away from making bad
decisions. In its truest sense, fear is meant to protect us from danger and
help us survive. The real danger lies in allowing that protection to rule our
life. We all want to be safe and secure, but what is security? We have discussed
this before when we talked about our comfort zone.

For each of us it has a different meaning. If you are a Formula 1 driver,
speeding will be unlike what the rest of us experience driving a regular car.
The F1 driver has stretched his speed (fear) limits to double or even triple
our normal capacity and he has done so out of his own choosing. He had
to open his boundaries to make this possible and he did.

To change, to become better, stronger and happier human beings we must
step outside of our comfort zone in order to live the life we want to live.
Otherwise it is highly likely that we will live one created from fear, from
doubt and from holding back.

All too often we give in, sometimes without even realizing it. We give our
fears much too much power. Sometimes, because of our culture and tendency
to compare ourselves to others, we see our fears as signs of weakness
and inferiority, which further strengthens their power over us, and we
fall into the trap of continual self-doubt.

People who assert their opinions on you, holding you back with
their negativity and judgments are the dream steelers keeping you
from living your life vision – from being the real you.

Don’t Focus on the Hardship

If you have ever been in Colorado you might have asked yourself how the settlers were able to cross the Rocky Mountains with the primitive wagons they had in those days. The answer is their dreams did. Their dreams were bigger than the obstacles. Their focus was totally on what they wanted and not on the problems right in front of them. If you do the same, your results will follow and you will see opportunities you never noticed before. Listen to my Moments TO BE…

From Idea to Vision

Before an architekt can build anything, he needs an idea of what he wants the building to look like. From that idea he draws a draft which by adding details eventually become a detailled plan.

We have to do exactly the same with our life. You need a clear vision of where you want to take it.

Set SMART Goals + achieve them!

Before I get into this I want to wish you a HAPPY, PROSPEROUS, HEALTHY, JOYFUL, ABUNDANT 2011!

Today is the day to make sure that 2011 is going to be your best year ever. Are you ready? Have you create your vision for this new year? That is where it all begins. If you can’t imagine it, it cannot happen. So before you can go into setting goals or anything practical like that, YOU MUST BE CRYSTAL CLEAR ON THE WHAT AND WHY. You must have your vision in place!

Michael Gerber, the author of the all times Bestseller “The E-Myth” says it in one sentence:

Ask WHAT and WHY not HOW and WHEN

I speak with way too many people who are not clear on what they want and why they want it. We have been discussing this over and over again and shall do so in the future as this is where manifesting, where creation starts.

There are way too many people who think that the “big dreams” are not for them; that they must be “realistic”. They admire it when others live them but cannot imagine them for themselves. Why not? I give you permission to be big enough, good enough, powerful enough to make it happen and today we will start breaking your vision down into SMART goals so that you will be able to take the necessary action steps to actually achieve them.

I just read the following on “Finer Minds” and must share it with you as it explains clearly what I mean:
“Realism is nothing more than a socially acceptable form of pessimism. The people with the most consistent track record of success don’t think in terms of what is. They think in terms of what could be”

Start thinking in terms of what could be. The good things are not only for others; they are for you too and 2011 is the year that you can manifest that – if you so choose!

Start the Year with a Vision

We are getting to the end of the year – of yet another year.

How will the new year, the coming year be for you?

Have you taken time out to reflect on what worked and what you could do better next time around. Have you reflected on the past year and have you created a vision for your future?

I  am very serious about this because…

You can’t attract what you want until you know what you want and
the more specific you are the better it will work.

I have said this many times before but you need to be crystal clear on your
target and VERY specific!

What is your BIG picture? What is your Dream?

Be precise and as detailled as you can and write your vision down in every little detail so you can read it every day until it becomes your reality.

Once that is done ask yourself what the first step toward achieving that vision is and write that down too. Start always with the end result in mind and work yourself backwards to today. The closer you get to the now, the smaller the steps need to become until each step is just a small action that is fairly easy to take IF you have made the commitment to really get there.

We will talk more about that tomorrow

You can be anything you want to be!

You can be anything you want to be! And exactly here is our challenge. To dare something new we must move out of our comfort zone and believe me, that is not easy. We feel comfortable in what we know, we feel safe and secure even if we are in a miserable situation because the devil we know… I am sure you know the proverb. But if we continue to do…

Einstein put this very nicely:
“The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results.”

To help you move out of your comfort zone visualize what it would be like when you have reached your big dream. Open your boundaries and dream in 3D. Visualize in every little detail, with all 5 senses what life could be like when you are actually there. Close your eyes and daydream and only when you can “see” yourself in your perfect day and have a wide grin on your face and a nice, warm feeling inside, open your eyes and write it all down. Every little bit of it. Where you are, what you feel, who is around you, what you do, is it warm or cold, are you in a city or in the country, is it a special day of celebration…

Make it a very vivid Vision of your perfect day. Imagination is the root of everything we do and by far the most powerful tool to succeed. Unless you can imagine yourself being happier, richer, thinner, fitter, or whatever it is you want to achieve, the chances of you ever getting there are slim.

Your brain needs to ‘see’ the results of your actions before it will allow you to apply your time and effort on striving for them. But unfortunately, although we are all blessed with imaginative powers as children, those powers very often fade as we enter adulthood. Remember the 95 % confidence we have as children and only 5 % as adolescents.

Regaining your ability to imagine, to picture something in your mind so complete that all your senses can experience it, IS possible. It just takes a little bit of practice. The more detailed your written “vision” is the more it will draw you towards actually getting there. Mine gets longer and longer and I feel great when I read it – which you should do frequently.

Jim Rohn says: “If the why is strong enough, the how becomes easy.” It is up to you to create your WHY. Get yourself into the feeling. This is the strongest technique to create belief in yourself!!! My clients say it is like giving birth and it really is incredibly motivating.

Honestly look into the amount of time you give to your dreams every day? For most of us it is NONE so how can we expect to ever make them come true?

It is only when your vision is clear that you should ask yourself: What do I have to do to get there? Always start with the end result in mind! That is what most of us do wrong. We start walking before we know exactly where we want to go to. In consequence it is no surprise that we stray off and get discouraged.

Work with the secrets of those who have done the “impossible”. Change your programming from “What if I fail?” to “What if I succeed? Then what?” Would that scare you? It shouldn’t! You are the Best in whatever field you are passionately involved in. But first you must know exactly what you want. Your vision has to be crystal clear to you.

Sorry, if I get carried away but I really want you to get this.

Dr. Schuler, Edison , Mandela, Trump, Robbins and a lot of other extremely successful people all have these 3 things in common.

The first key is that they know exactly what they want and start with the end in mind.
The second key is BELIEF. People who do the impossible believe they can do it and eventually they do!
And the third: They act in spite of their fears; in spite of their doubts and in spite of what their family and friends might tell them.

Always remember: These are your dreams not theirs. This is your life not theirs!

Dare to go further, dare to create new experiences, implant greater ideas. Act in spite of your fears and doubts – again and again. Move on even if you feel uncomfortable. It is in those moments that you grow.

I wish you to be ALL YOU CAN BE and that is anything you want to be!

To your success!

YOU are good enough!

Let me share a post I read in a forum. It was about self consciousness:

“I decided that I’d go to McDonald’s to get some food. Now I’m not overweight, but I do like McDonald’s and I work a lot so there are times when I end up there too often. On my way there I couldn’t decide which one to go to.

The reason, you ask?

Well, I thought that maybe the lady from one of the drive thrus would remember me, and the fact that I’d been there three times this week. I therefore considered going to the other McDonald’s in the area. I had to overcome my fear of encountering the McDonald’s employee and I did it. The question is, why the hell do I have to overcome it? I didn’t even know the lady at the window, and even if I did, so what? Nevertheless, things like this run through my mind and they bother me.

Moving on, I got my food at McDonald’s and then I drove home. Before leaving the car I was paranoid about whether or not to put the bag in my briefcase so that people from my apartment wouldn’t see that I was eating at McDonald’s. Now that I’m writing about it it’s kind of funny, but I’m dead serious about this. A thought such as, “They’re gonna see that I’ve visited McDonald’s three times this week and I’m not eating properly”. Who the hell cares, right? ”

Yes, that is right! Who cares?

Because we take ourselves serious doesn’t mean other people do too. Because we feel so important, doesn’t mean others feel we are important enough for them to spend their thoughts on us. Being self conscious is usually about feeling guilty or not good enough.

If we perform poorly (not up to our own expectation or what we know we “should” do) we look around us to see if anyone else has noticed. For instance you can’t get into a parking space and have to go back and forth several times. If you feel bad about that you will look around to see who has been watching and should there be someone you will feel worse. But why should you care? Do you think the others never had this happen to them? And how do you know what they think or feel when they look your way? They might admire your car or admire you as you get out; or their thoughts could be on a completely different topic altogether while glazing your way accidentally.

I met a young woman at one of my seminars who told me about her life’s purpose and her vision. She was very clear about it and well on her way to make them come true and just as I was going to tell her how much I admire the direct road she is traveling; she said she feels so small and insignificant next to me. I was completely shocked. Why couldn’t she see how much good she was doing already?

It was because her expectations on herself were so extremely high that she could hardly fulfill them. So she became self conscious, criticized herself and felt she was not good enough. What a lot of nonsense!

If you have to beat yourself up do it about something that you really screwed up (like burning your house down because you left the iron on) but never because you don’t fulfill your own XXL oversized expectations. If you feel you are not achieving enough or are not good enough talk to a true friend and ask them what they think about you. In most cases you will be really surprised how highly your friends value you. But in all cases it will give you a different perspective to look at!

We are all good enough!

Love life and life will love you
