Day 20 - Time To Dream And Visualize Your Purpose - Master Coach Barbara Hofmeister

I’m sure throughout this challenge you’ve been thinking a lot about living with purpose and what that means to you right now. Hopefully, you’re living more intentionally already and are changing things here and there to better align with your purpose. You may even have discovered your calling and are working towards making that happen. Congratulations if that is the case. I would love to help you make that happen. It is what I live for and what I help my coaching clients happen.

Yesterday, I gave you some tools to gain more certainty in who you truly are. You were able to discover your characteristics, strengths, and areas you might need to look out for. For me, these assessments were real eye openers. With both Numerology and the 16personalities, you have received detailed readings of your personality. Today we want to look into your future.

You clearly belong to the thoughtful and valiant. You might not have acknowledged it but you are an extraordinary human being. There are not many that would have come this far. Did you know that about 90% of people give up on their personal growth so YES, YOU ARE SPECIAL!

Let’s now look at creating your ideal future – the purpose why you are here, the WHY that drives you.

In the dictionary, “purpose” is defined as “an inner calling to pursue an activity or perform a service.” It is also called a vocation or a calling.

  • What is your calling?
  • What is your vocation?
  • What is your purpose?
  • Why are you here?

What do you feel when you think of the word purpose? Are you looking forward to living a purpose driven life or does it make you hesitant, maybe even afraid?

Remember, there is nothing to worry about. We are here to let our light shine and thinking big is actually easier than thinking small once you get used to it. So let’s start to think forward, always with the end results in mind. Let’s now define what your purpose is. Try to define it in one or two sentences. You can be anything as long as you really want to be, do or have that.

Let’s now make a declaration.

I, ………………………………….., declare that my purpose in this life is ………………………………………………………………………………………

Here is my purpose declaration as an example:

“My purpose is to show people that they always have a choice in life. I do this by helping them rediscover their life’s purpose and gain the courage to start living it.”

Have you finished yours?   Share it with us so it is a real declaration.

How does it make you feel?

Are you feeling happy with defining your purpose or do you still have questions?

If you do still have questions, feel free to ask them in our facebook group or book a few coaching sessions if you need more clarity.

You might ask yourself why I am pounding so much on the importance of knowing your purpose? I am doing it because the secret to success is easy to realize once you are clear on your purpose. Your purpose and your core values are the driving force in your life. They are your motivation even when times look glum. It has to be clear enough to draw you past those rapids that will for sure turn up while you are traveling towards your destiny. Dwell on your purpose until you are 100% clear.  I will share a very powerful exercise with you that will help you massively in case you are not there yet.

I call it creating a vivid vision. If you did get my book the other day, you will find it from page 26 to 37. It is too much to copy it here but if you are a participant of my CLARIFY YOUR PURPOSE challenge, I will send it to you. Just let me now in our group. Here I will summarize it plus share a 9-minute video that describes a similar process.

Before you can cherish your vivid vision, you have to define it in great detail.  It all starts with a vague idea of what you want your future to look like. Then, the clearer you get in your mind, the more detailed you will get and the better you can visualize it. Like an architect starts with an idea for a building, then draws a draft followed by a detailed blueprint and all this before the building is even started. The same here. The vision for your future has to be crystal clear to you before you will actually make it happen.

So, imagine that you are living your dream. Imagine what it will be like in every little detail if all were as you would love it to be. See it in as much detail as possible, use all your senses. Where are you, what are you doing, who are you with etc. Don’t hold back. After all, it’s only a dream 🙂

Close your eyes and start to visualize your dream life, the life when you live intentionally and driven by your purpose and values. Be prepared to enjoy yourself!

  • Where are you 5 years from now?
  • What is life like?
  • Who are you with?
  • What do you do?
  • How do you look?
  • How do you feel?
  • How is your health?
  • What about your wealth?
  • what is your state of mind?
  • What is top of mind?
  • What are you working towards?
  • What have you achieved?
  • What are you celebrating?
  • What is happening 5 years from now?
  •  …

Hear, smell, see, taste and above all FEEL what it is like to live your purpose. Dwell on it for a little while and really feel the feeling, then start to write it all down.

On the ………………………….(date 5 years from today) I…………………………………………………………………………………………………

My favorite marketing guru, Frank Kern, gave a 2-hour presentation on the importance of knowing what your ideal life looks like. He talks about how he manifested his ideal life. It is not the same but similar to my vivid vision so I am sharing the 9-minute summary of his 2-hour presentation. The video was taken just before he cut his hair and turned from surfer dude to business man. Don’t judge by appearance. Frank is the highest paid marketing guru in the world and I really love what he does.

Enjoy and do yourself the favor of actually doing this. I would love to hear your findings.

Tomorrow is our big FINALE!  I will do a Facebook live at 9am PST, 6pm CEST, 5pm UK time . Send me your questions and insights beforehand so I can answer everything.

Big hug

Barbara
