During the last 3 weeks, we have talked about the importance of knowing exactly what you want. if you have followed each step, you have defined and fine-tuned your purpose, discovered all your strengths and weaknesses and created a vivid vision of your future. By now you should know what you want your future to look like. Do you?

So you now know what your future can look like if you take action. You have probably heard that you must take massive action. I disagree. We usually overestimate how much we can get done in a year but we vastly underestimate how much we can get done in 2, 3, 5 years when we know where we are going and take it – step by tiny step. I am sure you have heard the saying:
You don’t have to see the whole staircase to take the first step.
You should actually now know what is waiting for you at the end of the staircase. You should now know the big picture of your future but probably not all of the steps necessary to get there. If you haven’t, now is the time to take the first steps. If that feels overwhelming, break it down further until you have a few tiny steps that do not frighten you and that you can tackle right away.
Let’s say you want to help build schools or wells or an orphanage in a desolate third world country. Just an example, there is also plenty to do back home. Whatever you want to do, make a decision if you want to raise money or donate your own or maybe you want to take active part and travel to the country to physically help. Whatever you decide, there are steps to take. If you want to travel, you will need to find out what it is like in that country, if there are organizations that are already doing what you want to do that are looking for helping hands. All of the research can be done from home, online and via phone. You will need a passport and maybe a visa and so on. Those are small steps you can start taking immediately.
You see, most people wish, desire, pray… for a better life. They ask for things to “get better” and believe that there is nothing they can do until that happens but that is not true. We always have a choice. We can always do something to change things but if you are still vague about your goals, aspirations, and purpose, we should talk. You need clarity, total clarity.
Remember, your mind cannot distinguish an actual experience from a fantasy, from a dream. That has been scientifically proven with Top Athletes. Consequently, if you did the exercise yesterday and now have a clear vision of what your future will look like, your mind and your heart (your subconscious which is about 95% of what is happening inside of you) becomes fooled into believing you are already there and allows you to skip the struggle and get right to it. Great, isn’t it? If you believe in what you are doing, so will the universe. 🙂
I might sound like a broken record but it is vital that you get this. In Psycho-Cybernetics they call it watching your mental movie. Watch the movie of your ideal life of who you want to be before getting out of bed in the morning and as you drift off to sleep at night. Make it a habit to daydream and start taking those tiny steps we talked about earlier.
Don’t listen to your excuses!
They might feel valid and convincing reasons BUT I assure you, they are just excuses. We have become so good at them. it is up to you to do it anyway, right? Tiny, little step by tiny, little step. The more tiny steps you take the more motivated you will be to go all the way.
