Marianne Williamson said that our greatest fear is facing our own magnificence, our inner light and beauty.
Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us…
For quite some time I thought that what she said was more a theory or maybe something that very few people experience. Today I know that not to be true. What Marianne Williamson said is absolutely true. It is who we are and more and more people are experiencing that power; are experiencing their own magnificence.
When you catch even one small glimpse of this pure, radiant being that is your true self, that vibrant being that is the real you, you will feel engulfed in unconditional love. This is what we want all along but it is also what we fear the most. We want it because it shows us who we really are – we are love and we are whole. WE ARE THE UNIVERSE AND THE UNIVERSE IS US.
We fear it because the essence of love takes away the familiar illusions of who we thought we were = the small, insignificant, seperated human being. The freedom and responsibility of knowing our magnificence is daunting, exhilarating, uplifting and energizing and at first it takes us so much out of our comfort zone that we shrink back from the wonder of who we truly are. Once you accept and embrace the true spiritual warrior you were born to be you will discover the essence of all being shining in the depths of your very soul and you will be FREE.
