In my coaching partice I notice the following common myth:
“Since I can’t live it now, I won’t think about it now”
Usually the participants are reluctant and tend to resist thinking about their passion and purpose in life, because they believe it is not the right time.
They believe that thinking about their purpose is useless, as long as they have loads of responsibilities and can’t quit what they are doing to pursue their dreams. (Can you relate?!)
However, they always express their willingness to put this task on their future to-do list … when the right time comes.
And guess what…the right time never comes!
The good news is: when you find your passion and purpose, you don’t need (and I don’t recommend) to instantly quit and replace your old life with a new one.
Passionate living is a long joyful journey, not a quick painful transition. And you need to honor the transformation phases and embrace each step of it.
When I explain to the participants the different stages of passionate living and how they can effectively embrace and navigate through each stage, they start to experience an AHA moment. Because, for the first time in their lives they feel that they can feed the hunger of their hearts and souls.
I’ve said it several times -and it is worth repeating again and again- that when you find your passion and purpose in life, you immediately enter a new LONG phase of practice, where you nurture your passion EVERYDAY until it grows, expands and takes on a life of its own.
Don’t let the myth of “since I can’t live it now, I won’t think about it now” stop you from listening to your heart’s desires.
Embrace your passion and enjoy its wonders all the way.
To Your Passionate Life,
